PDP Crisis: We’re not involved in war of attrition – Atiku

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has said the leaders of the People Democratic Party are not engaged in “a war of attrition”.

Atiku made the assertion in an apparent response to the sustained media attacks by members of the party from Governor Nyesom Wike’s camp.

Wike’s camp has continued to demand the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu as the National Chairman of the party.

The Rivers State Governor recently led other leaders of the party to pull out of the presidential campaign council of the PDP following the refusal of Ayu to resign from the party.

Speaking on Friday during the 35 years anniversary celebration of Akwa Ibom State, Atiku who was represented at the event by the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal said the crisis within the party is a political disagreement which will be resolved soon.

He said ”we are not involved or engaged in a war of attrition.

“It is a political disagreement and very soon all of that would be resolved and the PDP will continue to remain strong and grow until we win the election by the Grace of God come February 2023”.
